Just like the tiller or the trimmer, try to get as good a lawn mower as possible or it will end up breaking and you’ll end up buying a new one. However, sometimes push lawn mowers can actually cut your grass better and deeper, also you’ll get a better work out.
When buying a lawn mower here are a few things to look for:
Try to get a non push lawn mower- Non push mowers are WAY much easier and faster for your lawn. It is so much easier just to push down a throttle to make it move rather then you push the whole lawn mower.
Make sure the blades are nice and sharp as to help it cut better.
If it is used make sure there are no cuts or holes in the bag or grass will end up flying all over and hitting your in the face.
Be sure there is a good covering on around the blades
Be sure there is no hanging, loose, or missing parts

When looking for a riding lawn mower, be sure it is safe and no parts are missing. Try to get one with double or triple bags so your work will go much faster and smoother. Be sure to not get too close to any trees, decks, poles or fences. You’ll end up crashing and maybe even destroying your lawn mower.
