When I mow my lawn there are many different patterns I love to use. The easiest way to mow the lawn is usually to circle from the outside in, but I love to go dianglally with straight lines which gives the whole lawn a nice “stripe” look. Really it doesn’t matter what kind of way you should mow your lawn but it’s fun to experiment.
One time my family had little white grubs in our lawn that would dig down and kill the grass by nibbling on the roots. We crawled all over our lawn and picked all the little white grubs out of our lawn and put them all in a little cup, in which my siblings put in the fridge to scare their friends. This is the way you should NOT do it unless you want holes and big chunks cut out of your lawn. When you have grubs in your lawn either call a garden pest control company, or there are certain sprays you can use. Another way I just found out was that you could set up bird feeders around your lawn. Birds love grubs and would gladly eat them and rid them of your lawn.
If you don’t have bug problems but your grass is still dying or unhealthy, you could use a little lawn fertilizer and water to help it. When you use lawn fertilizers make sure it has plenty of nitrogen and other chemicals to help your lawn get that great, healthy, green look.
Here are the fertilizer nutrients that are good for your lawn:
- Nitrogen
- Chloride / / = small quantities
- Potassium
- Molybdenum /
- Calcium
- Magnesium
- Manganese /
- Sulfur
- Boron /
- Copper /
- Iron /
- Zinc /
- Phosphorus
