As you may know, many gardening tools, such as lawn mowers, are required to maintain and harvest your garden. A few of the gardening tools I highly recommend for you are the following.
A Mattock is a tool used for breaking up soil that is very difficult, like clay, and is good for working around trees with big fat roots that get in your way. A Mattock is kind of like a hoe with its tipped edges that allow it to dig hard into hard ground, which is extremely handy and useful around the garden.
Spading Forks are wonderful for aerating, transplanting, digging, splitting grasses, ect. A spading fork will do many things at once, it will be good for sorting hay, moving mulch, and moving manure.
Tillers do all the work of a hoe with ease and not as much work. However, tillers can sometimes uproot and rebury the weeds causing them to just grow back again and can make crabgrass multiply and start all over again. They are extremely useful in big garden where a lot of hoeing is needed. If you're consideing getting a tiller, look hard and put a lot of time into it. If you don’t, then you will have to come back and buy a new one in a couple of years.
“Gloves?” You may say,
well, these are one of my most important tools of gardening.
Work seems to go alot faster and easier when you have
a good pair of gloves on rather then pricking and scratching
yourself the whole day. They will protect your hands and
keep yourself safe from pricks and bug
stings.
Rakes:
Rakes help very much in your yard when it comes to a yard full of leaves in autumn time. A good rake will help you greatly in your quest on getting all of those leaves raked up and in your garbage can. Rakes are a wonderful tool to use when cleaning up leaves, paper, dead grass and other things on your lawn.
